Armlets were used by both men and women. The sculptured male figures of the kakatiya period are adorned with armlets called venki. There were also spiral armlets known as keyuras or the danda kadiyas.

The ornaments covering the shoulders and upper arms, keyura and bhujabhusana, were strings of pearls or pendants or pearls and gold beads joined together to cover the shoulders. The Hoysalas added the tassel and cluster of pearls to the simple keyura of earlier times. The keyura of the Vijaynagar period, however, seem to have been made of metal sheet.
